Three Golden Rules For Motivating Disaffected Learners

What scared me the most, when I realized I hadn't been listening to my SELF, is how many other people this is happening to. I teach about conscious entrepreneurship, I make it a discipline to be awake and aware to what's really happening in my business. I focus on the conscious journey I'm on. And, yet I was asleep in some ways. I felt such compassion for myself that I hadn't truly listened to the depths of my soul and what it was saying to me, and I felt compassion for all entrepreneurs who are asleep in some way in their business.

Let the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" be your starting point. Some teachers devise a set of class rules with the class. This often works well because they will accept ownership of the rules. A few simple rules are easy to enforce and easily understood by the class.

I moved back to my home state of Mississippi to take care of an ailing mom. No cult grew around Aldous Huxley. (Who incidentally died the same moment as John F. Kennedy). Huxley did not become a Guru. (Actually a Guru is a teacher and Huxley was that!).

When we stop obsessing about how difficult teaching our subject or students or whatever is, and start obsessing about adding enormous value to the lives of our students - our success rates soar - and as an added bonus, teaching becomes much more pleasurable.

golden teacher growkit II. Teaching preschool like school-age- Preschool classes need more defined lesson plans and they need fun props. You need to use a different voice inflection, different music, and they just need a lot of lovin! And, with preschoolers, you need very specific instructions.

Offer rewards for goals achieved, good efforts by the class or individual. These rewards might be as simple as a sticker or a stamp or a lolly. Your class circumstances will help decide.
