We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.
The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode is a preference for the torque and cruise control and the sport mode maximizes speed and handling.
