Megan Thee Stallion-Nicki Minaj Feud: Cemetery Ramps Up Security
In the latest in the conflict between hip-hop superstars Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, a Texas-based cemetery where Megan's late mother is buried says it has ramped up security to protect her gravesite amid a growing conflict between the artists and their fanbases.
Officials at the cemetery in the Lone Star State told TMZ Tuesday that they have been in touch with local police and have increased security at the facility, which is the final resting place of Megan's mother Holly Thomas, who died after a battle with brain cancer in 2019.
Officials told the outlet that 'nothing has happened to the gravesite,' and that it is focused on preventing anything from occurring.
According to TMZ, a portion of Minaj's fanbase referred to as the Barbz 'leaked the location of Holly's burial site on social media ... encouraging others to go and desecrate her grave' in the feud between the two musical performers.
The latest chapter in the conflict began earlier this month after Minaj made a remark about Megan's late mother, saying Megan 'better go conjure up your mother and apologize' after a perceived slight stemming from a lyric in her song Hiss.

The controversial lyrics on the track include: 'These hoes don't be mad at Megan / These hoes mad at Megan's Law,' a reference to American laws mandating the names and addresses of registered sex offenders be made public.
Fans of Minaj cited Megan's latest lyrics as potential slams at people in Minaj's life who have past been convicted of sex crimes, including her husband Kenneth Petty and brother Jelani Maraj.
Minaj later said that her remarks about Megan's mother were as result of her ire with the lyrics, according to TMZ.
Minaj on Sunday put out a diss track aimed at Megan titled Big Foot, in which she insinuated her rival performer had secretly undergone cosmetic surgery.
Lyrics in the track include: 'Um, why did you lie about your lipo?/ F**kin' your best friend man is crazy, you the type, though.'
Minaj promoted the release of the single with a shot of Megan set against a heeled boot standing in a massive footprint.
An insider close to Minaj told Dailymail.com on Monday that the veteran musical artist is primed to continue pushing Megan amid their row.
'I know that Nicki seems to be in the wrong right now because she went there,' a source said, 'but she is unapologetic, and we are only seeing what they let the public see.'

The source said that 'behind the scenes it is even worse,' explaining details of the rift between the stars.
'Megan has formed an alliance with Cardi B to talk s**t about Nicki, but Nicki has been in the game much longer than both of them,' the source said. 'Nicki told Megan she needs to sit down and respect those who set the path for her. The source said that Minaj was deeply offended by the references to her relatives in Megan's track Hiss.
'Megan came for Nicki's husband and brother and in the worst way,' the source said. 'So, Nicki responded by taking it a level higher. If Megan wants to keep this going, it is going to get extremely ugly - more so than it already is.'
