Upgrades can increase the performance of a piece of gear and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more marketable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item like an armor, weapon or rings. The item is replaced with another item of the same type, but with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. They don't keep the original item's level, and any resources wasted will not be refunded.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased from the store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.

Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Physical power increases the damage done by weapons and melee attacks while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To produce them, you'll need an upgrade level token for rerolling. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary Best item upgrader and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens placed on action spaces remains on the space until the next Success is to be rerolled. This helps you save upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. After selecting the item to upgrade, the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item level upgrade. This makes it an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting stress on their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto the new gear.

The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for new players. However, there are many ways to obtain these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. In addition players can also cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will gain an upgraded level. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.

Items with upgraded base stats will display a blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be applied to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an item to be upgraded. On the right, an image of the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when the player has enough materials will begin the upgrade process.

An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the base stats of the item will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, except for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.

Requirements

Certain items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but for the fact that it allows players to get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. These include the type of item (either Armor or Weapon), the level of the item and the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
