This study explored Chinese learners' pragmatic choices in their use of Korean by using a range of experimental tools, including Discourse Completion Tasks (DCTs) Metapragmatic Questionnaires, 프라그마틱 슬롯 사이트 Refusal Interviews (RIs). Participants were 46 CLKs of upper-intermediate who participated in DCTs, MQs, and RIs. They were also asked to consider their evaluations and refusal performances in RIs. The coding results are then contrasted with the original RI transcripts to determine how well they accurately portrayed the underlying behavior.
Refusal Interviews
One of the most important questions in pragmatic research is the reason why learners are hesitant to adhere to the pragmatic norms of native speakers. They were asked to complete the DCTs in their native language and to complete the MQs either in their L1 or L2.
