The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK Robot Hoover

The best robot vacuum and mop robot vacuum cleaners reviews hoover (moved here) can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line functions (such as dirt detector) are positives.

Check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris as well as hair. Wash them when necessary. Some models can also automatically empty their onboard dust bin into a larger bin at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have tested. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the most powerful model) they utilize smart mapping to create detailed floor plans and eliminate household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost, a feature that boosts the robot's performance when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to get stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good value for those whose office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does have a self-emptying dock, though. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be swapped for a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a compact, sleek package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets but it isn't as effective as some of its competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performing mop and vacuum combination utilizes advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it will learn the layout of your home over time for more efficient cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and customize zones through the well-designed app. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to pull back and extend its mop. This helps prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm is ideal for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean the entire house with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a good cleaning job on various rooms and floors with various flooring types including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was excellent and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums this feature, which we've not seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With an elegant circular design that appears like a regular Roomba rather than the compact models, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has 100% in our evaluations thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be problematic if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and more attractive. If you're willing to put up with a bit more noise and some extra cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and cleans and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out the floor plan and detect obstacles, making it more efficient than its more expensive competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home in accordance with how dirty they are.

For bigger homes it's recommended to choose one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean one particular area of your home via the app or voice controls. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. For busy families, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off can be extremely useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It vacuums well and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tested. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying base that is washable.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or to set up the spot-cleaning. It can also be used to it to rank your most filthy areas for greater efficiency. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuum that mops vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture better. It also has a strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for hair of pets. It also has the ability to set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like adorable eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to getting caught on low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robotic hoovers vacuums we've tried. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
