With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units, this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our tests. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features, like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has 100% in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping that collects data on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map.
