The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top 10 robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal It also self-empties which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. This kind of robot vacuum black friday usually has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuum cleaner deals vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the best on the market however, it's also expensive.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that does a really good job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, just connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and plenty of room to allow it to move around, however.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
