Are You Getting The Most Out You Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item level upgrade upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the Best item upgrade that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of The button will show the item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the Best item upgrader and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and a drawback.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a certain level of Best item upgrade for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items come from another set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
