World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade item, and aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that an upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a good thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their stats. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade items template for a weapon displays the new stats it will get when upgraded and their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item upgrader mod and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you will get out of each point of health you possess and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to let you sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion used and the item upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanics of potions. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item upgrader mod hover display. The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

There are also lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It may also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players which makes them a popular alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade players must also consider their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players then they should consider upgrading their helm, chest and shoulders.

Once they have become useless trinkets are able to be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
