The GP Unique
In terms of hot hatchbacks go, you'll be hard pushed to find one more aggressive than the GP Unique. It features big intakes, an arch extension and a two-part rear wings. These are features normally reserved for French unicorns.
Thankfully, it doesn't only look sexy. It also is incredibly responsive. The engine is smooth and powerful, and its 332lb-ft of torque arrives with little fuss under 1,750rpm. It's also a good match with the quick-shifting, six-speed automatic transmission. It's a shame that the GP Unique doesn't have a manual option, but Mini does not mince words about its focus on lap times and an auto is definitely the best choice here.
That said, it's not without flaws. For starters the GP Unique's passive damping is a bit firm, but it doesn't require much effort. On a straight and smooth B road you can easily test the chassis's limits of dynamic, but it's difficult to remain fluid with your inputs. The front end can become a bit snatchy, and the car is unable to hold its line when it's under pressure from irregular British bumps.
Once you dial into the GP Unique, its handling is excellent. Its front and body control remind us of the JCW racecar we raced last season. It's an absolute pleasure to drive on a slippery road and when in a good mood.
The car's chassis is also very different to that of the standard MT-09, thanks to the fact that it has more torsional stiffness and larger axles. The new GP features 24.7 degrees of rake, and 108mm of trail, which is more pronounced on the front than the R6's - but it also translates into amazing stability in corners.
Another excellent feature of GP is the PO Generator module. This module allows you to look at your current inventory and the min/max level you've set for each item, and any open POs that your vendors have (i.e. more inventory is expected) and it generates suggested purchase order you can send to your suppliers.
The GP 500
The GP 500 is Airoh's lightest GP helmet to date, aiding in reducing neck strain and fatigue as well as increasing safety by reducing burden on shoulders. The shell is aerodynamic, and features a chin-curtain spoiler that improves aerodynamics as well as reducing wind buffeting. Its EQRS Quick Release System is akin to the one used on a variety of track-focused motorcycle helmets. This allows emergency services to take it off it without disturbing the wearer's head.
The GP500 is, like many modern helmets, is Snell and SHARP-certified. It has a SHARP 3-star rating. It's not the top rating, but it is still a good one considering that it offers front to back and sides impact protection.
As far as image quality is in question, I have to say I was really impressed. The GP500 can project an image up to 4K resolution and managed to do so with outstanding clarity. According to BenQ's specifications, it also had a low input lag in both Game Mode and Fast Mode.
In terms of the accuracy of color it was close to being perfect with an DeltaE error of only 2.3 which is quite impressive. It also displayed superb grayscale performance, with crisp and distinct shades. The GP500 displayed subtle rainbow colors when watching the Adam Project. They were clear to see, but did not interfere with the viewing experience.
The sound quality is impressive. The GP500 has an independent DSP chip with treVolo Psychoacoustic Tuning that produces 3D audio effects. It uses an internal quad speaker layout that is placed in the corners of the cabinet and is designed to create a sonic sound field for all viewers regardless of their seating location in the room.
There are many options for connectivity, such as HDMI inputs 1 2, 3 and 4, as well an optical Toslink SPDIF to send Dolby-Atmos bitsstreams natively to an external sound bar. The GP500 includes two Type-A USB 2.0 ports for streaming content, and it has a 12-volt trigger that can be used to create an electric screen.

The GP 900
Sceptics might argue that the GP is simply an existing naked XSR900 sporting a Wayne Rainey frock, but the truth is that Yamaha's engineers have worked their magic to create a heartfelt and effective tribute to its legendary sporty heritage. The GP's new Deltabox frame and swingarm are 55mm longer and feel more compact and planted in corners thanks to altered the geometry of the chassis. In addition, a fully-specified 6-axis IMU brings a wide range of electronic rider aids to the platform, while KYB suspension is uprated with a larger front fork and a larger wheelbase.
The GP's fairing, which is asymmetrically designed, is a clever trick in its sleeve, with air vents that are located inside the cowling to reduce pressure inside and assist in dispersing heat from the engine. This gives the appearance of a sleeker design and lowers the bike's centre of gravity. The GP's color TFT dashboard, which shows messages and call notifications, and lets you choose between Garmin StreetCross Navigation and turn-by–turn directions (free for the first year) is also an excellent improvement.
Regarding rider control the GP comes with three preset riding modes and an individual mode that can be manually set by the user. The GP also comes with a new suite of smartphone-connected technology that includes a YConnect app that combines smartphone integration with media control, as in addition to cruise control and a USB Type C socket to charge devices.
The GP 900 is a great machine with a heritage of sports however, it is also perfect commuters or a Sunday blaster. The 117bhp CP3 motor is a great choice, with a broad spread of power available from very low revs. Even at speeds on the road the GP's midrange power can be enough to alter your speed/time/distance calculations and completely dissect Google Maps estimated time of arrival. The GP's suspension is just right - it's not wrist-achingly stiff as an R6 or as light and agile as a TT500. It's enjoyable to ride and an absolute blast.
