1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a great alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot once it gets full.
Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we have test. It can get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.
iRobot suggests cleaning up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it might come across. Also, keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is low it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning where it began. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of constant usage. It takes 3 hours to charge.
2. Roomba by iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and -- the most important feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can control your robot through the app or voice.
In our testing, the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces types including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room cleaning robot and even vacuum a specific area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world full of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is an automobile. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households and can fit in well next to the coffee table or shelves where you can wave it around like the magic device.

This model has a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also gives easy access to 2 attachments and the wand. This is a major improvement over previous Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The main drawback of the V10 is its limited run time. Its marketing claims that it can last up to 60 minutes of run time are not true as CR's tests show. This is an average, not an exceptional, run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of a home that's average size however, it's not enough to cover every area (though the second time around usually does the trick). However, this model isn't a good choice It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming performance is significantly better on low-pile carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum Cleaner Amazon vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It's capable of sucking up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and often goes over the same areas several times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front end helps to get into corners and along the walls' edges, which is a nice touch.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and navigate your home. It's not equipped with the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects, as it has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and is better at moving itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most purposes, as it has a longer battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode manually and has physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels better-built, has a more powerful motor, and performs notably better on floors that are bare and low-pile carpet, while offering a wider range of features for automation.

The app offers a variety of customization options for your robotic vacuums cleaner. These include virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior modifications docking frequency settings and more. It's easy to understand and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.
In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well at avoiding taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than the other models we tried, which might be a deterrent for some buyers.

The app lets you alter the LED lights on the top of the vacuum to tell where it is focused or if it has gotten stuck.
The app also makes it easy to manually steer the robot if needed. For instance my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that has a tendency to trip up some of the other robots I've tried. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. Also, the ability to set up the weekly cleaning schedule is a wonderful time-saving benefit.
